SPRING BREAK | THE OREGON COAST

It’s been quiet here on the blog, but for good reason! Max and I made a trip out to Oregon for a few days and it was the perfect kick off to my Spring Break!

We’ve been meaning to make a visit to see Max’s grandparents in Salem for a while now and I’m so glad that we finally got to. Not only was it nice for us to get out of the house and experience some free time together, it was also really special to see the folks and share the exciting news! This was something we really wanted to tell them in person and it worked out perfectly. His grandpa is unfortunately struggling with an illness but he is still kicking, silly as ever, and we could tell he was truly touched at the thought of having a great grandchild very soon. We are all so excited for this pumpkin.

We had a very rainy route the day we headed over, but the rest of the days remained partly cloudy with a temperature in the cool upper 50’s. We browsed shopping centers, got to play in a pool, Max’s grandma taught me how to knit my very first washcloth, we ate lots of junky but yummy food, I broke the toilet in our hotel, we walked on Cannon Beach again together (the last time we visited was almost 5 years ago!) And we slept on the coast in our car. Not the most comfortable thing to do EVER but it was free.

It was a nice little get away to see family and to see the coast again and to not have school! Almost somewhat of a 'babymoon'.
