Baby month is here! Less than one week, people! It still hasn’t hit me yet… I have no nerves, no fear, or worries and I believe this is because I have not come to terms with reality. Someone smack me please! This baby will be kicking in squirming in my arms before I know it.
My vision of labor is nothing but a dream. I am still in la-la-land. I picture myself waking up in the middle of the night with my water broken, waking Max up, and calmly heading over to the hospital. I am pre-registered and very familiar with the hospital so I feel like checking in will be quick and a piece of cake. WHO AM I?!? If anything I am more worried about waiting in the hospital bed for hours and hours. I do not want a long labor! I have only felt an ounce of pain/cramping so I am not looking forward to the real thing.
HOWEVER - I am looking forward to meeting our daughter! Words can’t even express how excited I am. We get to take her home! She will be ours. She will be with us for the rest of forever. What a special gift. Not a minute goes by that I don’t think of our Pumpkin baby. What better time than for her to arrive in the fall. Makes me one happy momma!
Boxes are all put away in the house. The nursery is ‘clean’ and organized but I have a just a few more finishing touches to add. Max’s momma got us a dining room table for us to eat at! Or to just throw stuff on :/ heh I need Maximus to hang all my thingies on the walls and our brand new ottoman and shag rug should be here next week! We are all set - EXCEPT - we desperately need a washer and dryer still… probably should have been one of the very first things to get done on our list but whatevs. We moved Miss Grace in this week and she is adjusting so well! No spooks for this kitty. She enjoys exploring the basement and we’ve realized this by all of the cobwebs she comes upstairs covered in… and she has also made herself quite comfortable in the spare car seat we have that has yet to be installed into Max’s car.
See, we’re getting there. I’ll be spending the rest of these days running a few ‘small’ errands and cleaning up around the house. I also hope to get some walks in and ONE more photo shoot outside that I’ve been meaning to do this entire summer! Fingers crossed I get it done and that this little girl will be here soon! Last week I was dilated to a 1.5 and 80% effaced. So very curious to see how my appointment goes tomorrow!
