WHILE SHE SLEEPS | ZOEY'S NURSERY

I finally got around to taking some pictures of Zoey’s nursery. Trust me, it usually doesn’t look this clean. For the first few months the crib was used as her laundry hamper but since I’ve gone through her clothes, everything is a bit more organized these days. Although Z doesn’t sleep in her crib yet, we actually do use her room! We have gotten so much use out of the changing table as it stores her clothes and accessories, but we also have used it for almost every diaper change believe it or not. We also store the swing in here (not pictured) so she takes her naps in there during the day.

This room is teeny tiny. I didn't realize how difficult it was to take pictures of this small space and it was also a rainy day. It is located right next to the living room and also provides a walkway for the bathroom. Luckily the sound machine helps to drown out most noises for when she will start to use the crib in the future.

The star night light was a huge inspiration for the theme I was going for as stated in my previous nursery inspiration post. I almost went out and bought it myself but my dear friend Nichole got it for us at the baby shower! I am not sure where the changing table is from but it was a gift from my Dad and Joey and I love it!

The crib is really special to me as it was a handed-down item. It has been through 5 girls!!! The giraffe has been attached to the crib from the very first baby it comforted and I refuse to take it off. It sill chimes a sweet lullaby. Both of my Aunts made these pillows for Zoey embossed with her name and birthday. She was also gifted a beautiful handmade quilt matched perfectly for her. The chevron sheets are from Target and the crib ‘skirt’ is simply just a queen size grey sheet draped across. I actually have had the paper star lanterns forever from Michael’s Crafts. The sign above the crib was a sweet gift my sister had customized specifically for the room - the stars are even sparkly! I wasn’t exactly going for the insane amount of chevron but we’re working with it.

Zoey is so spoiled she even got one of those huge bears from Costco! He practically takes up the entire room. The chair the bear is sitting on is actually the rocking chair my momma used to rock me in.

For the baby shower we asked for books instead of cards and I am so grateful for all of the stories we get to read to her! When I was going through some of the books I started bawling because I remembered a lot of them from my childhood and its just so damn precious to me that my sweet girl is going to read them too. I diy-ed  the 'Zoey’ sign with a wood slab, chalkboard paint, and my hand lettering in white acrylic - it was so easy and I treasure it. Most of the baskets shown ( i l o v e b a s k e t s ) are from Target and Tj Maxx - so is the rug.

I am so happy with how her room has turned out. It is a simple, peaceful, little space perfect for our darling.
