I entered the year 2014 with a literal lump in my stomach. It was a gut feeling. Okay - puns, yes I want to use all of them. On a serious note, my body was changing and I knew it. It was a heavy thought in the back of my brain as I cautiously pretended to sip out of a Coors Lite can for the entire duration of that New Year's eve. I describe the word 'heavy' as this thought was extremely unknown, scary, good, exciting, panicked, and just a butt load of emotions. It was almost as if I didn't want to know, for fear as long as I didn't know, it wouldn't be true. I was expecting my Aunt Flow within a day or two and I guess her flight was delayed? Just for kicks and also reassurance, I went ahead and bought a "preg test", as my boyfriend calmly referred to them as. I had never been more nervous to pee. I peed on that stick real good and without any hesitation an immediate result came through the window. IMMEDIATE. Positive is the term that test revealed to me. Welp.
