PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 38

Exactly two weeks to go until my due date!!! It would be ‘perfectly okay’ if the Little Miss decided to make an appearance this week, but to be quite honest I am ‘perfectly okay’ if she hung out a little while longer. I know most mommies are so eager to get their babies out but I am too complacent and patient for my own good. I’m all about smooth sailing and if this ships needs to sail even a little after two weeks, well I’m all aboard! (That was really lame.)

HOW FAR ALONG// 38 weeks! I definitely look the part this week. My belly is big! (to me anyway) I still get funny reactions when I say I only have two weeks left though.

BABY SIZE// A freaking PUMPKIN! Last week the Doc measured her to be 6 pounds and 12 ounces. (I thought this = 7lbs. Nope, apparently there are 16oz in 1lb DOPE!) She feels quite large in there and has still yet to drop.

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN// My weight has been fluctuating. I’ve gained a few small amounts and also lost quite a bit to where it concerned my doctor. He gave me an ultrasound last week to check to see if I had lost any amniotic fluid and all looked to be perfect thank goodness! She’s measuring right on track and I’ve gained about 33 pounds so far.

MATERNITY CLOTHES// I am officially done with work so I don’t have to find anything presentable to wear anymore! I rock a sports bra, wife beater tank, and underwear/jam bottoms around the house. If I leave the house I’ll throw on a maxi skirt.

STRETCH MARKS// None visible. I haven’t checked under my belly yet… I really don’t want to either.

SLEEP// Lets just say I can fall asleep but that doesn’t mean I am not waking up every 20 minutes to turn. My legs and hips go limp numb, one sudden stretch and I get attacked by charlie horses, and I now see the fear in sleeping on your back - it just doesn’t feel right. My belly is heavy and that makes turning from one side to the other VERY difficult too.

BEST MOMENTS THIS WEEK// Max and I are finally all moved into our HOME! More on this later :)

MISS ANYTHING// I am starting to miss summer after realizing its just about over!

MOVEMENT// Hello hiccups! Those pops of love give me the best feeling ever. It’s almost like a massage… Her feet and legs constantly kick my right side. She definitely takes the air out of my lungs sometimes too but I can’t help but enjoy seeing and feeling her presence.

CRAVINGS// Ice! Still love crunching on that ice. I used to be an ice chewer, it was definitely an obsession and I see myself falling into that obsession again. It’s like an addiction. Gotta have my ice. I’m hoping once the weather cools I’ll also cool it with the ice because my teeth are going to start falling out. Also, I’m annoying with all of that crunching.

SYMPTOMS// I’m still trying to figure out what contractions feel like exactly. I’ve felt minor cramping, but it really just feels like her movements. I haven’t been in any sort of pain but my back hurts when I sit on any type of couch. I feel like I’m complaining to my doctor here… No signs of labor though!

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT// It’s not going to be popping out anytime soon which is okay with me!

HAPPY OR MOODY// Happy and stress free! I am so relieved to be in our home. It sucks realizing how much money goes into getting everything you need in your home ready but I am happy to be here. I wish Maximus could be here with me more often as our alone time will soon be VERY limited.

LOOKING FORWARD TO// These next few weeks of getting ready for our darlin’. We’re ready - but it will be nice to soak in this extra time to get little things done and the little things sure do add up. I find myself going to the store to grab this and that just incase I may not be able to once she is here. The thought of going out alone with our daughter scares me! ALSO - PSL!?!?! Yes. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I hear rumors they are arriving this week…

my mirror is back! i've missed this thing all summer for pictures!

HELLO 9 MONTHS | WEEK 36

Hello 9 months! Most people relate to having a baby right at 9 months pregnant, but you have to put into consideration you need to actually go through the rest of those 4 weeks in order for it to actually equal = that 9th month! And that’s just what we’ve got - 4 short weeks left!

I’m getting so anxiously SAD. I don’t want this pregnancy to be over just yet. I’ve been so blessed to carry this baby. She’s been nothing but good to me and what a dream come true it has been to call this wonderful pregnancy mine. I still can’t get over her wiggles and the closeness I feel with her inside of me. Sure, it may feel like I’m holding a bowling ball with every vagina muscle I have, but nothing beats growing this little human that Max and I have created!

Another reason why I wouldn’t mind her baking for a little longer is because we have still yet to move into a place! Luckily, and I’m telling you all of the stars aligned with this one, we have a house! Max and I have had our eyes peeled literally every single day for that perfect home to call our own this entirrrrre summer. I think if I would’ve had to search Craigslist and drive around town for listings one more week I would have gone into melt down mode. (I’ve never seen melt down mode happen, so this could’ve gotten ugly.) It has been so draining and stressful but I think we found the one! We put the security deposit down today and hope to move in THIS WEEK! I can’t believe it took us this long to get a place, but it was obviously supposed to happen this way. Let the nesting festivities begin!

I’ve been remaining as positive as I can with everything and that is truly what has made this pregnancy so tolerable. Everyone asks me how I can be so happy all of the time and I simply can’t dwell on the little things. Max has been working so hard at his new job where long hours occur and days off are far in the distance for him. I wish it didn’t have to be this way, especially when our little darlin’ arrives, but I am so proud of him. We have such a huge support system on our shoulders and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’m thankful that I can still go to work and bring the bacon in at 36 weeks pregnant. I also managed to paint my own toe nails this weekend! I’m definitely known for my skill of “whining” but I’ve certainly toughened up within these last 9 months and I owe it to this little gal that is soon to enter our lives!

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 35

I’m still here! Still very much pregnant! Still working my booty off and enjoying my down time as well. This summer is quickly coming to an end and I’ve just finally made an appearance at the beach by myself last week. Past summers that’s what I would do with all of my free time - go down to the beach! I guess with being pregnant it’s more hot outside than it actually is and I’d rather just stay indoors with the A.C. Not to mention I’ve been sleeping in as last as I possibly can since I can’t even really fall asleep until 1 in the morning lately. But things have been great! We had an amazing baby shower that I can’t wait to express once I get some pictures. I didn’t take ONE picture but luckily others did. It was all such a blur, it flew by but it was so wonderful and I am so beyond thankful for that day and everyone involved. Seriously. I guess I will get down to my weekly update that I’ve been slacking on. I’ve also been horrible with taking pictures. I think the Lazy Bug has officially bit because I don’t want to do anything wahh.

HOW FAR ALONG// 35 weeks! ONLY 5 LEFT. WUT?!?! Just a few weeks ago I was completely taken by surprise that I was officially 8 months pregnant. I couldn’t believe it and now there’s only a few short weeks left. Time has seriously crept up on us.

BABY SIZE// Little girl is the size of a pineapple! I love it! I also really, really, love pineapple.

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN// I’ve lost track! The last few weeks I have only gained one pound each doctor visit and I hear it is often common to gain at least one pound each week towards the end.

MATERNITY CLOTHES// It’s getting harder to find clothes to wear to work each day but at home I have invested in some of THEE comfiest, lightweight jammie pants. I have a few pairs actually that will transition their way to becoming the perfect mommy pants too.

STRETCH MARKS// My skin is still holding strong and as soft as can be!

SLEEP// Not so great this week. I’ve been so hot and I keep having the same damn reoccurring dreams that constantly wake me up.

BEST MOMENTS THIS WEEK// Since sleep hasn’t been so great, its been nice to just lay and relax during the day. I haven’t had any crazy plans so it’s been verrry laid back!

MISS ANYTHING// I was just thinking the other day how I miss my normal body. Don’t get me wrong, I totally love this pregnant bod and don’t even really feel pregnant half the time but lying in bed is when I feel like a completely different whale of a person. Just hugging Max now is difficult because my belly is such an obstacle to get around! Of course, I know I am going to miss my bump so much as soon as this pregnancy is over.

MOVEMENT// Lots of movement this week! I’ve gotten a few kicks that have shocked me to the point where I’ve made an audible “ow”.

CRAVINGS// Lots of ice and lots of spicy. I can’t get enough of chewing on all things ice. I sip my drinks as quickly as possible before all of the ice melts so I can crunch on it! I’ve also been eating too many acidic/peppery things that have given my heart quite the burn…

SYMPTOMS// Well heartburn like I mentioned above, one sore vagina, and an achy belly here and there.

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT// It’s still in! Cute little thing, not going to lie.

HAPPY OR MOODY// Still happy! Not too much I can complain about. Max always manages to make me smile and laugh at the littlest things. I have gotten more moody and whiney but pshhh - I’m allowed to be.

LOOKING FORWARD TO// Finding a freaking place to live. That’s one thing that I have done daily and it’s driving me bonkers - looking at listings and calling everywhere for a nice place to move into only to be disappointed. Like, tears are flowing peeps. Its beginning to turn into a nightmare but Max and I are optimistic in which things will work out as planned. Fingers crossed here soon!

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 32

32 weeks today and feeling good! Max took me swimming since it has been so incredibly hot here. I’ve been dying to go to the beach and I finally got in the water! It felt great to swim with this belly. Thunder clouds rolled in and we made our way out to grab some ice cream - GASP - yes, Max took me to get ice cream ladies and gentlemen. I was craving mint chocolate chip today for some odd reason and that’s exactly what we got! We ran a few errands during the storm and it was so nice catching a break from the heat. Summer storms are the best! I am now resting my feet after a shower and about to hit up The Bachelorette tonight. Is anybody else as much in love with Chris as I am? I don’t really trust Andi’s decisions so he just might end up being the next Bachelor and boy would that be my favorite season ever to look forward to!

Tomorrow we have another scheduled ultrasound! A furreal one this time! I am so excited to wake up in the morning to see our little pumpkin. I have a feeling she might be shy yet again with those hands covering her face… and later in the evening we will have round two of our birthing class. Wednesday is my doctor appointment and the rest of the week I will be working and hope to help out with baby shower decorations! We’ve got a busy week ahead of us - now a big bowl of Cherrios is calling my name. Good night!

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 31

Week 30 has quickly come and gone. What a milestone to reach and it only means we are getting closer. I’m not the biggest fan when it comes to 4th of July because I am ALWAYS the one who gets stuck having to work at the butt crack of dawn the next morning - it’s been like this for years. However, I did enjoy spending it with my family though! July fourth really seems to be the kick off to summer here in Coeur d’Alene, but I feel like summer is just about over with this baby on the way!

HOW FAR ALONG// 31 weeks! This baby will be here in NO time! I still fear it is flying by.

BABY SIZE// The size of a coconut! I guess you could say it looks like I have a little ball in there. She weighs about 3 1/2 pounds and over 16inches long. Her head is currently down which is great!

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN// I had a great Doc. appointment last week and everything is looking good and I only seemed to have gained 2 pounds making that a total of 23lbs so far!

MATERNITY CLOTHES// Let’s just say - dresses, dresses, dresses… and pj shorts.

STRETCH MARKS// Nope! More like sunburn marks though… oops.

SLEEP// Great!

BEST MOMENTS THIS WEEK// My sister and her kiddos visited for the fourth this week and I was so excited to see her! It’s been too long and I absolutely loved getting to connect with her and hear all of her birth stories with her babies and it makes me so anxious to experience mine!

MISS ANYTHING// Being able to drink iced coffee whenever I want at anytime of the day!

MOVEMENT// Very subtle, but I still feel her flicker in there often. Not too many harsh movements.

CRAVINGS// Iced coffee duh ^^^ lol oh and holy mother of winter - ICE!!! I have been chewing on ice ~constantly~ guys. I love it. I bought a bag of ice for the house that won’t last long and I’ve been traveling to Sonic to get cups of just those cute ice pellets. I want to go get some naowwww.

NAUSEA?// None!

SYMPTOMS// I’ve felt some heavy pressure below my chest what almost feels like gas bubbles but I can’t really tell if it might be some sort of braxton hicks because it sure don’t feel good! It could also just be heartburn too…

BELLY IN OR OUT// Very much in. I can’t even stick my finger in it anymore!

HAPPY OR MOODY// Happy :) Everyone tells me I always look so content and smiley. I’ve definitely been more emotional though.

LOOKING FORWARD TO// Our first birthing class this tomorrow! I’m curious to see what information we will learn and I hope Max enjoys it too.

sorry//not sorry about my noods.

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 26

I’ve been kicking myself for letting another two weeks pass without an update! This blog is really just a treat to allow myself to look back at my pregnancy and I’m kind of failing by NOT posting all of the neat little moments I’ve experienced. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and it went great! I was given a few goodie bags and also - the glucose drink to take home and take for when I turn 28 weeks. I gained another 5 pounds since my last visit and my belly is measuring out perfectly. My doctor likes to show me my chart of risk factors which is a complete blank page. I think he gets a kick out of it and it makes me so happy and relieved too!

HOW FAR ALONG// 26 weeks and 5 days. I keep getting my weeks and days all mixed up. I thought I was still 25 weeks, but then I was like wait, am I already 27 weeks? And for a brief moment I scared myself into thinking I only had 8 more weeks left until I was due… My brain is mashed potatoes.

BABY SIZE// 9 inches long and the size of a glorious, deep, purple eggplant.

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN// 21 pounds. Seeing 145lbs on the scale seems pretty normal and good to me!

MATERNITY CLOTHES// I’m still finding a bunch of clothes to wear and do not plan on buying anything for myself for a very long time. I feel so guilty buying things for myself now. I’m shaking my head because I bought a few large shirts that I plan on returning because they make me look like a box! Ugh!

STRETCH MARKS// My belly skin is getting tight! No stretch marks in sight though. However, Max drained my confidence when he said those will come after the baby comes out… thanks, Bud.

SLEEP// Weeks 24 and 25 I experienced some of the worst leg pain! The joints of my knees felt so unbelievably sore which made sleeping that much more uncomfortable. This week I’ve been enjoying dear old Charley Horse. Every. Night. Also — I can’t stop sleeping on my back! Sorry baby!

BEST MOMENTS THIS WEEK// Sleeping in, summer thunder storms, and more people noticing my belly! Also, I’ve been getting caught up with The Bachelorette. I’ve been trying to actually pay attention to this season because I actually like Andi, past series I’ve blown off. It’s either that, or start my journey with Game of Thrones and I don’t think my brain is ready for that much excitement yet.

MISS ANYTHING// I’ve been serving up loads of summery alcoholic bee-vee-gees at the bar and nothing sounds better than an ice, cold, salty margarrrrrrita!

MOVEMENT// Lots of little squirms and wiggles happening in there and nothing too painful yet! Loving every bit of it.

CRAVINGS// Sweets still! I tell myself everyday, “Okay Sara, you will not have one sweet today.” And I fail. Always.

NAUSEA?// Still none. It’s sweet how many people go out of their way to ask if I’m feeling alright, and my reply is usually always pretty great!

SYMPTOMS// Just leg pain. No one ever really mentioned to me how bad your legs and joints start to hurt! My hips seem to be stretching as well. I was standing naked in the mirror the other day looking at my widening body and just taking in the fact that a human has to somehow make it’s way out of there! Yikes!

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT// It’s beginning to surface! Not quite popping out though.

HAPPY OR MOODY// How about, tired? I am tired. But still happy! A little poopy too.

LOOKING FORWARD TO// A baby shower! However, it also has me anxious and stressed. I keep having nightmares about how awful it might turn out or that no one might show. I loooaathhe being the spotlight of attention too! I have some of the best woman who are more than happy to throw me a wonderful party and I truly feel so special, even though it makes me anxious!

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 24

tank // target  maxi skirt // old navy maternity
Officially 6 months pregnant! Whaa?! Where has the time gone? I’ve made it this far so quickly! Max can’t even believe how fast it has gone too. I must be a pretty, easy-going, pregnant, girlfran ~

I can't get enough of this little bump. Can I just stay like this forever? Since I'm actually starting to look preggers out in public I've noticed people's eyes just seem to dart straight for my stomach. More customers at work are starting to realize it too and they DO NOT hesitate to ask how far along, what I'm having, and what their name is! I guess I'd rather have that than someone assume I've got a beer belly. A gal literally thought I was going through my 'Freshman Fifteen'... Da fuq?

I can't wait to be a mommy, but I am soaking up every ounce of this pregnancy. I really don't want it to end! This babe girl definitely seems to be growing as well. I was worried there for a bit because I wasn't feeling her movements as much as usual, but I've learned they go through a major growth spurt during this time and she's getting her rest on. Lots of sleep for both of these gals is needed! I hope everyone gets to get out and enjoy their Memorial Day Weekend. Don't forget to hit up all of those awesome baby sales, that's what I'll be doing!

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 22

22 weeks today! This big gal will always be my baby though.

5.01.2014

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 21

ANOTHER week down! What a week it has been. Max and I packed up all of my stuff on Monday and we're living with the parents for the time being! Most couples experience doing this sort of thing, right? It'll be nice to save some money, spend more time with Max, and have some killer 'roommates'. On top of moving, I've had a full week of school annnnd work and what kills me is that it is so nice outside! Up to 80 degrees here in Northern Idaho! I have two full weeks of this semester left. I can do it!

I've been slacking with bump photos, especially on my phone. I forget that it comes equipped with a camera. Someone please remind me to take belly snaps on my phone! I have managed to take weekly nudey photos in my teal undies that I will piece together near the end, or for a photo book. Here's a little sneak of some more of my skin. Baby girl's movements are amazing and Max even gets to enjoy them too :) Life is gooood.

4.21.2014

MOVEMENTS | WEEK 20

I’ve reached another exciting milestone in pregnancy - feeling those first movements! A few days before I initially knew it was for sure, I felt rather gassy. The kind of gas that makes your belly gurgle and fizz without the upset stomach, gotta run to the toilet feeling. I was 19 weeks and 3 days in when I was laying down and getting relaxed for bed. My belly had that bubbly feeling again but It had felt like just a few bubbles were being popped. Almost like a strong, involuntary muscle spasm. Pronounced yet subtle. I could count each time it happened that night and I was just so amazed. That was the baby! As the days have gone by I’ve been able to tell when I feel her kicks and punches without having to actually think about it. It gives my heart such a twirl of emotions. I’ve enjoyed feeling these flutters so much I’ve even googled, “is shaking my belly to make my baby move bad?” I love the feeling! I must feel it at ALL times. But then I realized, this baby chick needs to sleep sometimes too…  I feel she’s most active after I eat and when I am laying down at night. She’s so low near my pubic region that I can actually see the little pumps of force showing through my skin when I lay down. It’s almost like there’s an alien in there! My sweet alien babe. I’m so in love already.

4.14.2014

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 19

Officially 19 weeks holy cow! I can’t describe how wonderful it feels to announce our pregnancy and to hear everyone’s kind and thoughtful words of congratulations. I’m sure it was quite the surprise for many because only a handful of people knew!

My belly appears to be growing a little each day! At the beginning of the week there wasn't much bump and now it has officially popped I believe! Here’s a little update of my 19 weeks so far.

HOW FAR ALONG// 19 weeks. I can almost say I’m already 5 months along… right?

GENDER// A girl! I hope the ultrasound tech is right because I am the suckiest person at returning things.

BABY SIZE//  As big as a mango, wow! During my doctor’s appointment they said baby is measuring exactly where they need to be at 19 weeks and is about 6 inches and 8.5 ounces, almost a pound!

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN// 5 pounds at last weeks doctors appointment. I’m good with dat.

MATERNITY CLOTHES// None yet! Luckily all of my beloved pairs of AE jeans are super stretchy and I did just buy a new pair of black jeggings at Target that fit very comfortably that I’ll be able to wear after. ALSO - these pants at Target. If you’re pregnant, get some. If you’re not pregnant, get some. They have a built in band, yet they’re not maternity? So freaking comfy and loungy. Target rules.

STRETCH MARKS// Nope — still lathering up on that cocoa butter!

SLEEP// Uhhh friggen HORRIBLE. I now know what it feels like to go numb in my legs and hips. Tossing and turning occurs a lot throughout the night and I just don’t do body pillows. Sucksalot.

BEST MOMENTS THIS WEEK// Announcing to the world! aka - Facebook & Insta.

MISS ANYTHING// I think my feet are growing. Can they shrink instead? I think all of my shoes are starting to not fit.

MOVEMENT// You know… I feel weird nudges while I’m laying down at night or after I’ve eaten. Whenever I notice it I stop and stare and then nothing happens haha.

FOOD CRAVINGS// Little baby oranges. Those tangelos, or cuties, or halos or whatever the hell you call them. They is gud and I eat too many at a time.

ANYTHING MAKING YOU FEEL NAUSEOUS// This babe has been SO good to me that I’ve felt great more than anything.

SYMPTOMS// Very tired, especially now that I’m back at work for the season and my sleepless nights are in full effect.

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT// Still in, but let me tell you - my belly is fuzzzzzzyyyyy. I have developed a very pronounced ‘happy trail’. It’s not the infamous linea nigra either, it’s straight up hair.

HAPPY OR MOODY// Very happy, so happy I just may start to sprout a glow here soon! I hope!

LOOKING FORWARD TO// Hmmm summer so I can sport dresses, flip flops, and a bikini.

I'm just so damn happy!

3.10.2014

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 14

We made it to the second trimester! Max and I went in for my second appointment this last Friday and got to hear the heartbeat and we learned the babe's heart rate was perfectly beating at 154bpm. I'm currently fighting off a cold and it's an odd thing to deal with when I can only drink water and blow my nose to make it go away. Since I'm not up for much of a photo shoot here is a little pregnancy along the way update.

HOW FAR ALONG// 14 weeks and 1 day. It's crazy to calculate that I've been pregnant for about 3 and a half months!

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN// I have gained about 3 pounds so far. For the longest time my weight stayed the same and its just now starting to fluctuate along with my growing belly.

MATERNITY CLOTHES// I used to deeeeeply roll my eyes at the thought of wearing maternity clothes. Just, no. But now -- it doesn't sound like such a bad idea…  my jeans are tight in the button so I'm starting to use the hair tie trick. Last Christmas my brother got me a really cool pair of maroon cords -- but they had a built in band. Graham! How could you not know you bought me maternity pants?! I honestly kept them for when the time came when I needed to wear them and I am going to bust them out soon. I also made some savvy purchases online at Old Navy for some comfy skirts, dresses, and tees. Can't wait to wear them!

STRETCH MARKS// None yet! On my belly anyway. I'm very tall and back in the day when I had a growth spurt I gained quite a bit of stretch marks in my thighs and even my knee caps but they're pretty light in color and I've learned to live with them.

SLEEP// I'm tired often but that doesn't exactly allow me to sleep. I usually stay up past 11:30am most nights and can sleep in until about 9am. With this cold though I am losing a lot of quality good-feeling sleep but I am getting my rest on. Also, this friggen time change has got me out of WHACK.

BEST MOMENTS THIS WEEK// Being able to go to the doctors with Max and listen to the heartbeat.

MISS ANYTHING// I miss being able to take ibuprofen when my head is pounding!

MOVEMENT// It's a little too early for me to actually feel movement but I am positive this Pumpkin is bouncing away in there!

FOOD CRAVINGS// How about you just give me all the foods, mmk? Pickles, green apples, frozen raspberries, peppers dipped in ranch, and bagels are motivation to keep me going through the day.

ANYTHING MAKING YOU FEEL NAUSEOUS// Hmm I've noticed some perfumes are a little too strong for me but it doesn't make me feel sick.

GENDER// We will find out April 9!

SYMPTOMS// Tired. Maybe a little more moody than usual.

BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT// There's very much a deep hole in my belly still.

HAPPY OR MOODY// Like I said, moody but I'm just unable to breath out of my nose, I'm surrounded by many snotty tissues, I can't taste any of the delicious foods I want, and I need to get rid of this headache.

LOOKING FORWARD TO// Definitely finding out if this Pumpkin is a boy! Or girl… Just healthy :)

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 12

How do you even take mirror pictures? I struggled trying to get a picture of myself. I am selfie-illiterate. I bought Tums today. Hello, heartburn! The Winter Olympics are finnaaallly over and my shows are back on this week! Although, the only thing that makes me even come close to barfing is Juan Pablo. The last week of my first trimester is creeping up. Squats aren't my best friend but I know they will be once summer rolls around. Also, I just wanted to let everyone know the Marshmallow Crispy Oreos taste no different than the vanilla ones. Get chu some Cookie Dough Oreos instead! Max makes fun of this because he say's I'm "arching". I guess I'm just ready to visibly see this babe in my belly already.

2.13.2014

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 10

Week 10 has arrived and reality has kicked in. On my first day of this week the morning of had me feeling crampy and stuffed. I felt like I ate too many donuts and had a massive belly ache and the only thing that could relieve it would be a trip to the bathroom but that wasn't happening. Throughout the day exhaustion crept up like dense fog and I could not get rid of it! There were moments in the day when I was out and about and got that dreaded watery feeling in my mouth. Had I been next to a toilet I probably would have tried to see if I could throw up but I wasn't, and I was glad because throwing up BLOWS. I passed out a little after 7:30pm that evening.

I believe I was given just a little taste of what feeling like you're pregnant actually is like. For a second there I was worried I wasn't going to have any motivation throughout the week to get my homework done and study for a test, let alone go to class to take the test. But for the remainder of the week I honestly felt back to normal. I caught little tiny waves of nausea but nothing crazy.

This is how I look and feel most days :: braless, hair up, makeup off, glasses on, complete with some type of stretchy pant. My belly makes an appearance after I eat but it's mostly just bloat. I'm totally okay with not showing just yet! I also wouldn't mind being a small pregnant lady. If I wanted to, I feel like I could hide this pregnancy for awhile but I'm ready to share the news!

This little pumpkin is the size of a prune and I'm currently craving lots of sweet and sour! I've ate an entire jar of pickles this week and considered sipping some of the juice (they gotta be claussen though.) I've also been enjoying large amounts of mexican and making myself eat loads of yogurt because I'm currently fighting a yeast infection.

P.S. There's really no bump there, I'm just pooching out for fun.

1.12.2014

PUMPKIN BUMP | WEEK 6

Currently you see me here standing here at 6 weeks. I have absolutely nothing to show except for some excess belly pooch I should have worked off LAST summer. I like food. I found out I was pregnant at just four weeks. Since then until now it still doesn't feel real. I am literally knocking on wood right now as I type this - I have experienced absolutely zero sickness. I feel great! I can't get over it! Woo! One major symptom I can tell you I've been experiencing is a never ending deep and dark pit of hunger. I will eat anything edible. I've even resorted to not even bothering to pick off fragments of mushrooms off my slice of pizza(s). I'm so hungrrrrrrry. Let's also talk about constipation. I knew this was a thing but I didn't know it would go into full effect right away. With all of the food I've been nomming it's kinda just been hanging out in my colon I guess? Luckily, I picked up an amazing new habit of making green dranks. I've smartly invested (thanks to Max) in a Nutribullet. It's basically a personal blender that pulverizes leafy greens and fiber-y veggies mixed in with some yummy fruit to make a healthy and freaking delicious juice/smoothie/meal. I hope to get more into this dranky phenom later in the blog but it has helped my body wonders. I feel so good AND I'm able to go to the bathroom and I think a lot of it has to do with making one of these every day.

So far I'm feeling pretty dang good, which is another reason why I feel like this thing is totally not real. Once I visit the doctor for my first initial exam it will start to kick in but that isn't for another month. Until then, I will be taking my prenatals, try to get some sleep and rest, eat healthy and think positively! I've been enjoying some really helpful pregnancy apps that are helping me learn so much along the way. Our 'Pumpkin' is basically the size of a pumpkin seed and will be growing faster than I know.
